Light For Peace

#lightforpeace2022

Thank you for your participation! Thank you for showing so much attitude. You are great! Take a look at the impressions.

Carry the message and stand up for peace. NO aggression, NO war. Support the important programs and relief organizations.

The network from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein not only represents the interests to promote quality, safety and cooperation in the event industry. As international, diverse, heterogeneous and open-minded as the identity of the event industry is within its various fields, we also act with a clear concept and vision of peace in our many endeavours and activities.

It is a privilege to be able to show a firm moral stance, and we are determined to use this to express our solidarity. Solidarity with individuals who are victims of political, physical and psychological violence worldwide and with all those who courageously take to the streets to protest against aggressors. We believe in values that are valid internationally, and work with everything we have and within the framework available to us to support democracy and human rights – with you and for you.
It is our duty to say NO. NO to aggression, NO to war!

We are shocked by the events in Ukraine and can hardly comprehend what is happening right now.

Under the impression of the events in Ukraine, associations of the event industry from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein collaborate to set a common sign against war and for peace. The network built up in recent years between the Alliance of Event Organizer Associations of Switzerland, the German Interessengemeinschaft Veranstaltungswirtschaft e.V. and the Austrian Theatertechnische Gesellschaft is organizing the Light for Peace campaign on 03.03.2022.

Starting at 8 p.m. on this day, event houses, event locations, theaters and stages, corporate offices of service providers and selected locations will light up for two hours in the rainbow colors of peace. Using the hashtag #lightforpeace2022, participants are encouraged to share photos and videos of their installations on their social media channels. In this way, the event industry will send a clear, strong and international symbol through Europe and into the world by all means.

We let the event industry shine – against war and for peace!
